The security guard Carl was the best security guard ever. He was always really nice, and all the students listened to him. The residence was good. Here and there, I complained about a few things, but they never really took action. I’m giving 5 stars just for Carl, to be honest. He made my stay even funnier than it already was.

The best place to stay, if you want do be in Brighton with EF. You are always around people and constantly meet new people.
In my opinion there is no problem with the "hygiene". The cleaning staff does sooo much. Sometimes it's just the students that don't know how to live respectful with other people.
Thanks to Micheal!!! He is the best security guard. We always felt sooo safe with him and his colleague and he helped us with the luggage.
Gonna miss Brighton, the residence and Micheal so much!!

Mi hija ha estado en esta residencia desde el 26 de junio al 23 de julio. Estas son las fotos de lo que se encontró. Una habitación en la que dormían hacinadas 6 chicas, dos WC para toda la planta y unas condiciones higiénicas pésimas. La cocina siempre sucia. Contratamos con EF una estancia en familia, pero la alojaron en esta residencia sin ningún tipo de comunicación a los padres, ni información a mi hija, a la que dejaron toda la tarde tirada en recepción (hasta pasada la media noche no la alojaron), sin cena y sin nadie que le diera ninguna información. EF no contesta al teléfono, ni siquiera al de emergencias, en el que salta un mensaje de contestador. EF es un tremendo engaño.

Sin duda lo mejor de toda mi experiencia EF. Las habitaciones no son muy grandes pero con las actividades, la escuela y la preciosa ciudad que es Brighton ni si quiere se pasa tiempo en la habitación. Las zonas comunes abundaban y eran un gran lugar de reunión con tus compañeros. El desayuna era súper completo y rico. Pasé momentos muy divertidos allí dentro.

UPDATE 2024: the staff have been sympathetic on this issue and in summer 2024 there was hardly any noise and litter from students on the local beach, which we very much appreciate ? Keep up the good work and we hope they enjoy their time here in Hove

The students engage in antisocial behaviour on the beach and in the local neighbourhood on a regular basis. They get drunk and party in huge groups of 50-100 teenagers. Singing and shouting in residential areas until the early hours of the morning. And the amount of litter they leave on the beach is absolutely heartbreaking. Plastic and glass rubbish strewn across the beach and washing into the sea. This is a weekly occurrence from their students. Local residents have talked to the school numerous times about their behaviour and have had to call the police on many occasions. But the school has sadly never managed to teach it's students to respect the local neighbourhood and the environment.

la scuola è molto carina e i professori sono fantastici, la mensa non è male ma i panini sono meglio. si impara molto e ve la consiglio, ma ci sono tantissime cose per il quale non vi consiglio di stare al residence. appena sono arrivata mi sono resa conto che nel mio letto c’erano capelli di altre persone. La moquettes, come tutti i divani presenti nel residence, sono pieni di macchie scure e alcune emanano un odore sgradevole. molte stanze sono ricoperte di muffa che in altri ci sono addirittura piantine che stanno iniziando a crescere negli angoli del muro. Io soggiorno al terzo piano (82 scalini, senza ascensore) dove oltre a trovarmi in una stanza non adeguata per tre persone devo anche condividere un solo wc con tutte le ragazze del mio piano(più o meno 20). Più di una volta è capitato che io e le mie amiche perché lo staff aveva deciso di chiudere il Basement, dove si trovano i tavoli, prima dell’orario stabilito. Per non parlare delle cucine, è impossibile metterci piede per la puzza che esce solo aprendo la porta. Per arrivare a scuola e ci vuole mezz’ora di autobus (cosa che inizialmente non mi era stata detta). in conclusione la città è molto carina, nessuno giudica, nessuno ti guarda, nessuno si avvicina, è una città molto colorata e che ha molte cose carine da visitare. io personalmente tornerò sicuramente a brighton ma mai in questo residence, in quanto già ho buttato molti soldi questa volta, perlopiù in questo posto che non ne vale neanche la metà.
