The epitome of a neighborhood no nonsense delicious gem. The staff was helpful and kind, while also proud of their food. The atmosphere is perfect - checkered floors, red stools, a murals of stickers and the best mix of music. We almost went to a ‘popular’ pizza shop downtown and can’t be happier that we ended up here. Delicious!

Hands down one of the best pizzas I've had in Portland! The combination pizza at this place was amazing So much flavor! The ingredients are incredibly fresh, and you can taste the difference. Plus, knowing the dough is made fresh every morning adds that extra touch. We had the pizza to go, but definitely trying to dine in next time!

The customer service is great as well. If you're craving authentic New York-style pizza in town, this is the spot to hit. Highly recommend!

This place is a joke. The guy behind the counter will happily serve you overpriced pizza but only after he's touched it with his bare hands and finished his conversation with his buddy first.

There're no prices displayed (5.25 for a slice of cheese is insane), and it's mediocre at best. Go anywhere else. Please.

Hit up Escape From New York Pizza when you're cruising down 23rd Street and need a good pizza fast. We grabbed the pepperoni and the green pepper and mushroom pizzas – both were good. They get your slices hot and ready in no time, perfect for a quick stop during the week. Just a heads up, parking can be a nightmare on weekends. But once you're in, it's all chill vibes. Feels like a family spot with super quick and friendly service. They’ve also got a decent beer lineup, including Bud Light, Heineken, and some draft picks like Dutchess. Seating's a bit on the tight side, with a bar against the wall and a small table, so maybe not the best for a big group hangout on the weekend. The place is decked out with loads of pics and snapshots on the walls, making it feel all casual and homey. Definitely a solid choice for a speedy, tasty slice.

Not large enough to accommodate a sports team plus parents, but you can always get it to go. This casual hole-in-the-wall serves up incredible NY-style pizza, baked to perfection. We bought a slice of Pepperoni and a slice of meats, onion, and olive. Huge slices. Crispy crust. They continuously bake pies for slices, then finish baking after you order so it's piping hot. When we were there, slice options included a meatless pie and cheese-only.

Great little neighborhood gem. Just wish they had the price per slice somewhere so we knew what we were in for (still would have bought slices, but like an idea to know what's about to hit my wallet lol).
