This is a scam and a money grab. If they partner with your child's school, please don't fall for it. When we signed up, we were offered a historical Boston trip centered around historical education. My daughter loves history and was so interested and excited. 6 months later we get a notification that this will now be a STEM tour in Washington DC centered around STEM and forensics which is of no interest to my daughter. Although this is not the trip we signed up for, EF America gets to keep a big chunk of our money. We just wanted to provide our daughter with a great educational experience, but we're the ones that learned a lesson. Parents considering this, please don't do it.

This is a scam company do not use them. If you have to cancel for any reason they will make up ridiculous fees that do not exist and charge you every bit that you have paid into it over $800.00 It doesn’t matter what your hardship is!

ABSOLUTELY disturbing that I canceled my sons trip just barely over the 30 day mark and they kept $515 of my money... that is an outrageous cancelation fee... absolutely disgusting... NEVER book a trip with these people.
We are moving and my son will not be able to attend this trip and he is not even going to that school anymore. It is something completely out of our control and it really makes me mad that they think thats an acceptable fee for cancelation. I can understand the $95 but to keep all the money I have paid so far is gross... TERRIBLE company!!!

I signed up to travel with my son and his school for a trip to Washington DC and Williamsburg. When the infomation came out around Feb 5, 2024 - 14 months before the travel date we had one week to decide that far in advance for the $200 off enrollement. We signed up and enrolled and added the $200 (each) insurance plan. In June we realized we needed to change schools and would not be able to attend the SCHOOL trip, the company charged $1,000 ($500 each to cancel). The cancel fee is $300 IN ADDITION to the $200 cancellation insurance. The trip is still over 10 months away! This is a school trip and the school year has not even started yet. The company gave us two options to minimize their unreasonable practices -1) find another parent and child to take our place (which is likely to happen as the school year starts, but we rightfully have no access to school records to ask around) or 2) ask the school even though we don't attend anymore if we can join their group. Both of these are unreasonable options for this type of school event. I would understand these prices if it was within a month or 2 of travel plans, but it is not it is still over 10 months away. We do not recommend using this company.

A fantastic company to work for as a Tour Director. Together we change lives through experiential learning, creating memories to last a lifetime, and often inspiring students on a career path. I enjoy being stopped by strangers who tell me they took an EF tour decades or years ago and it was one of the best experiences of their life. And those who tell me their chosen profession is because of an EF trip. And those who took one as an 8th grader and now are with their kid on THEIR 8th grade trip. The office staff are hard working, passionate, supportive, and caring for customers, partners, and TDs.

It was necessary to cancel mine and granddaughters trip. They kept more than 20% after me paying on it for 13 months: more than a $1000.

Horrible travel tour and company. They use 1 tour director for 50+ people so no one can hear anything, always running behind schedule, skips destinations and meals are all food courts at a 5 star price. Company tour mark up is about 60%. Do yourself and your child a favor and do it yourself.

I have been waiting on a refund for over 6 weeks now nor can they give me information about my refund. The only way you can speak with a manager is by emailing them. At this point the manager should be contacting me to explain why my funds have been delayed not the other way around. I would not recommend this company.
